That Report EGD-007-15 be received for information. Municipality of Clarington Report EGD-007-15 Page 2 Report Overview The following is a report on building permit activity in Clarington for the months of January, February, and March as well as the total for year to date. The construction value total for the months of January, February, and March 2015 was 55.5% lower than the same period in 2015. To the end of March 2015, we issued 109 new residential dwelling units, compared to 216 at the same time in 2014. 1 . Concurrence Not Applicable 7. Conclusion The construction value at the end of January, February, and March was 55.5% lower this year than last year, with 109 residential dwelling units issued, compared to 216 in 2015. This is because 2014 was an exceptional year with regards to building permits. We compared the first three months of 2015 with previous years, and believe building permit activity in 2015 will be at an historical average. 8.
