(b) Cathy Ferguson, 4795 Trolls Rood North, M""""'eD~ Corners, IAlB lJO - re: Crossing Guard - M"dPhPIIR Comers School - accompanied by Gwen Banks and Debbie Butson, reiterated her request for the placement of a crossing guard on Trulls Road North to assist children attending Mitchells Comers School. She indicated that she disagrees with the contents of a Crossing Guard Needs Study which indicated that a crossing guard is not required at this location and she requested that a copy of the study be forwarded to her. She informed the Committee that approximately 35 of 90 children are walkers. She has a grave concern on the safety of the children due to the excessive speed of cars and a hollow curvature on the road which hinders the view of vehicular traffic from small children. She requested that the Committee place a crossing guard at this location for the safety of the children. PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT Monitoring of the Decisions of the Committee of Adjustment D13.3808.CO Resolution #GPA-681-92 Moved by Councillor Dreslinski, seconded by Councillor Hooper THAT Report PD-223-92 be received; THAT Council concur with the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment made on October 8 and October 22, 1992 with respect to applications A92/043 to A92/054, inclusive; and THAT Staff be authorized to appear before the Ontario Municipal Board to defend the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment in the event of an appeal. D14.DEV.92.026 Resolution #GPA-693-92 Moved by Councillor Hooper, seconded by Councillor O'Toole THAT Report WD-83-92 be received; THAT the request of the Central Ontario Four Wheel Drive Club for permission to repair fish dams, bridges, and clear trails and backroads be denied; THAT Robert Maddocks be provided with a copy of Report WD-83-92 and be advised of Council's decision; and THAT the Township of Scugog and the Township of Manvers be provided with a copy of Report WD-83-92 and be advised of Council's decision. Limited - Road Closing Resolution #GPA-694-92 Moved by Councillor Novak, seconded by Councillor Hooper THAT the application received from Kiddicorp Investments Limited for the closure and conveyance of a portion of the road allowance between Lots 32 and 33, Concession 6, former Township of Clarke, be approved; THAT By-law 92-198 be lifted from the table and forwarded to Council for second and third readings; and THAT Hannu Halminen and Roy Forrester be advised of Council's decision. "CARRIED" Cathy Ferguson re: School Crossing Guard Resolution #GPA-695-92 Moved by Councillor Hannah, seconded by Councillor Novak THAT the delegation of Cathy Ferguson be acknowledged; . THAT her request for the placement of a crossing guard on Trulls Road North to assist children attending Mitchells Comers School, be re-investigated and the safety concerns expressed by Cathy Ferguson be addressed; and THAT Cathy Ferguson be forwarded a copy of the Crossing Guard Needs Study and she be advised of Council's decision.
