Director of Public Works, W. Evans (Attended the meeting at 10:45 am.) Town Clerk, P. Barrie Mayor Hamre chaired the meeting during the absence of Councillor O'Toole. The meeting was reconvened to continue consideration of Report CS-04-93. Councillor Hannah made a declaration of interest earlier in the meeting with respect to the Road Construction of Phair Avenue, Account #7205-93001-X, Public Works Capita! Budget (Page 34) and refrained from voting on that portion of the budget. Resolution #GPA-178-93 Moved by Mayor Hamre, seconded by Councillor Dreslinski THAT Addendum to Report TR-21-93 be received for information; THAT the 1993 Capita! and Current Budgets identified in Report TR-21-93, as amended, to reflect a 0% increase in the 1993 taxation year be approved; THAT the Newcastle Library, and the Bowmanville and Clarke Museums be advised of their fmal grant award; THAT a grant in the amount of $91,500 be approved for Handi Transit; THAT the Visual Arts Centre and Handi Transit be advised of their fmal grant award; THAT the adjustments identified in Schedule A to Addendum TR-21-93 (and as detailed in Report TR-21-93) be approved for incorporation into the 1993 Current and Capita! "CARRIED" Resolution #GPA-183-93 Moved by Councillor Hannah, seconded by Councillor Hooper THAT all mileage amounts be held at 34 cents per kilometre; THAT budget values not exceed the 1992 approved budget values; and THAT the Mayor submit monthly mileage reports rather than being reimbursed on a flat rate basis.
