BACKGROUND 1.1 Our report covers the months of September and October, 2003. It is our intent to provide Committee with information relevant to this department, in a timely manner. 2. REPORT 2.1 The department responded to 449 calls during this period and recorded total fire loss at $69,450.00. A breakdown of calls responded to follows in the table attached. *Standby As indicated in the table attached, Station 1 volunteer firefighters were activated thirty nine times and Station 4 volunteer firefighters nineteen times, to cover while Pumper 1 and Pumper 4 responded to emergencies.
