BACKGROUND 1.1 Our report covers the month of August, 2003. It is our intent to provide Committee with information relevant to this department, in a timely manner. 2. REPORT 2.1 The department responded to 261 calls in August and recorded total fire loss at $18,650.00. A breakdown of calls responded to follows in the table attached. *Standby As indicated in the table attached, Station 1 volunteer firefighters were activated seventeen times and Station 4 volunteer firefighters ten times while Pumper 1 and Pumper 4 responded to emergency calls.
