CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW NO. 2005- 233
being a By-law to adopt Amendment No. 47 to the Clarington Official Plan
WHEREAS Section 17 (22) of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990, as amended, authorizes the
Municipality of Clarington to pass by-laws for the adoption or repeal of Official Plans and
Amendments thereto;
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington deems it advisable to amend
the Clarington Official Plan to permit the relocation of Public Elementary School symbol and
Medium Density symbol, deletion of a Neighbourhood Park symbol and adjustment to the
neighbourhood population targets;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVE THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality
of Clarington enacts as follows:
1. That Amendment No. 47 to the Clarington Official Plan, being attached Explanatory
Text, is hereby adopted.
2. That this By-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of the passing hereof.

SCHEDULE "A"
Purpose and Effect of Official Plan Amendment NO.4 7 to the
Clarington Official Plan.
PURPOSE: To amend the Clarington Official Plan by relocating the Me:Hum Density Residential and
Public Elementary Schools symbols, deletin~l the Neighbourhood Park Symbol and to revise the
population and housing targets within the Darlington Green Neighbourhc od of the Bowmanville Urban
Area, to permit the development of 389 residential unit Plan of Subdivision consisting of 144 single
detached units, 44 street townhouses and a 201 medium density block, a parkette and a public
elementary school block.
BASIS:
The Amendment is based upon applications for an Official Plan Amendment filed by
WED Investments Limited (ThE! Kaitlin Group)
