BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
1. BACKGROUND
1.1 Our report covers the month of November, 2002. It is our intent to provide
Committee with information relevant to this department, in a timely manner.
2. REPORT
2.1 The department responded to 218 calls in November and recorded total fire loss at
$29,200.00. A breakdown of calls responded to follows in the table attached.
*Standbv
As indicated in the table attached, Station 1 volunteer firefighters were activated ten
times for standby, nine calls were as a result of Pumper 1 and Pumper 4 being tied up at
emergency calls, and one for the Santa Claus parade. Station 4 volunteer firefighters were
activated four times for standby, three were as a result of Pumper 1 and Pumper 4 being
tied up at emergency calls, one for the Santa Claus parade..
