Council Minutes DELEGATIONS PRESENTATION COMMUNICATIONS - 2- July 12, 1993 Mr. Sam Cureatz, Barrister & Solicitor, 21 King Street East, Suite 108, Newcastle, LIB IH3, addressed Council on behslf of his client, Mario Veltri, with respect to Item #9 of Report #1 (Stsff Report WD-28-93). Mr. Cureatz indicated that since the submission in April of the request for a road allowance to be closed and conveyed to Mr. Veltri, a detailed reference plan has been drawn up. Mr. Cureatz requested that Council refer Report WD-2t>-93 back to staff for further review. Councillor Larry Hannah and Rick Johnson (Regional Councillor, Town of Pickering) gave a slide presentation on their recent Waste Management Tour and Study in Germany. The Councillors indicated that in December 1991, Germany passed legislation requiring the private sector to be more responsible for the collection and separation of their waste and illustrated how effective this legislation has been.
