Minutes of a special meeting of Council held
on February 2, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the Executive
Boardroom, 3C
Present Were: Mayor J. Mutton
Couneillor A. Foster
Councillor D. MacArthur
Councillor P. Pingle
Councillor G. Robinson
Councillor J. Schell
Councillor C. Trim (attended at 3:05 p.m.)
Also Present: Chief Administrative Officer, F. Wu
Director of Community Services, J. Caruana
Director of Operations, F. Horvath (attended at 3:05 p.m.)
Director of Corporate Services, M. Marano
Municipal Clerk, P. Barrie
. Councillor Schell led the meeting in prayer.

DISCLOSURES OF PECUNIARY INTEREST
There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest stated for this meeting.

Moved by Councillor Robinson, seconded by Councillor Pingle
THAT the meeting be "closed" in order to consider a personnel matter.

THAT the actions taken.during the "closed" session be ratified.

Moved by Councillor MacArthur, seconded by Councillor Schell
THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law 2005-011 being a By-law to authorize the
execution of a Collective Agreement between the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 74, Outside Workers, for a three (3) year
term, and that the said by-law be now read a first and second time.

THAT the third and final readings of By-law 2005-011, be approved.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law 2005-012 being a by-law to confirm the
proceedings of the Council of the Municipality of Clarington at this Special meeting held on
the 2nd day of February, 2005, and that the said by-law be now read a first and second
time.
