Resolution #C-295-94 Moved by Councillor N oval<, seconded by Councillor O'Toole THAT the minutes of a regular meeting of Council held on April 25, 1994, be approved. "CARRIED" Ms. Evylin Stroud, 89 Little Avenue, Bowmanville, L1C 1J9 and Ms. Wendy Boothman, addressed Council with respect to the 1994 Environment Fair. They advised that the fair, which this year is a joint venture between Oshawa and C1arington, will be held on Saturday, May 14, 1994, at the Jubilee Pavilion, Lakeview Park, Oshawa, and extended an invitation to Members of Council and Staff. e . . Council Minutes DELEGATIONS COMMUNICATIONS - 2- May 9, 1994 Ms. Wendy Maynard, Chairperson of Social Conw1ittee, Bowmanville Valley Co-operative Homes Inc., addressed Council with respect to holding a street dance following the Official Grand Opening for Bowmanville Valley Co-operative Homes Inc. Councillor Novak made a dec1aration of interest with respect to Correspondence Item I - 8 and refrained from discussion and voting on the subject matter. Councillor Novak indicated that Detox Environmental Limited is a client of the fIrm she is employed by. Resolution #C-297-94 Moved by Councillor O'Toole, seconded by Councillor Novak THAT the correspondence dated April 11, 1994, from Moira Rosser, Waste Reduction Week and Commw1ity Outreach Coordinator, Recycling Council of Ontario, requesting the proclamation of Waste Reduction Week be received for information. "CARRIED AS AMENDED LATER IN THE MEETING" (SEE FOLLOWING AMENDING MOTION) Resolution #C-298-94 Moved by Councillor Dreslinski, seconded by Councillor Novak THAT the foregoing Resolution #C-297-94 be amended by adding the following thereto: "THAT the week of October 17 - 23, 1994 be proclaimed 'Waste Reduction Week' in the Municipality of C1arington and advertised in accordance with Municipal Policy; THAT the correspondence be referred to the Director of Public Works for preparation of a report to be submitted to the General Purpose and Administration Committee regarding the appointment of a Waste Reduction Co-ordination Team; and THAT Moira Rosser be advised of Council's decision." Simpson requesting that Wife's name be included on the Volunteer Wall of Fame, be received; THAT Council approve the recommendations of the Volunteer Recognition Committee and include Joan Simpson's name on the Volunteer Wall of Fame; and THAT Wilfred Simpson be advised of Council's decision.
