MINllTES Resolution #c-94-94 Moved by Councillor Novak, seconded by Councillor O'Toole THAT the minutes of a reguIar meeting of Council held on January 24, 1994, and the minutes of a special meeting of Council held on February 7, 1994, be approved. "CARRIED" DELEGATIONS Mr. Bob Engley, 73 Liberty Street North, Bowmanville, L1C 2L8, advised Council that the slow pitch league is anticipating holding a tournament on July 30 and 31, 1994 with all proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He distributed to Council a list of projected costs for hall fees, tournament fees and diamond fees which total $1,388.00 and requested that Council waive the fees. . Mr. Mark VanWyk, President, C.F. Foundation (Durham Chapter), 47 Aberdeen Street, Oshawa, advised Council that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is directly involved in the fundraising ball tournament of which Mr. Engley spoke and reiterated Mr. Engley's request. . . . Council Minutes DELEGATIONS COMMUNICATIONS - 2- February 14, 1994 Ms. Muriel Krizanc advised, prior to the meeting, that she would not be in attendance. Mr. J. Veldhuis, P.O. Box 16, Hampton, LOB 1JO, presented an update on the activities of the Community Liaison Group. Mr. Veldhuis distributed for Council's information, a table outlining potential contaminants at the Port Granby Waste Management Site together with a summary table of potential clean-up criteria. The fmal draft of the 1993 Priority Field Sampling Program - Welcome and Port Granby Waste Management Facilities: Volume 1 - Assessment and Interpretation and Volume II - Data and Quality Assessment were submitted to Council on behalf of the Community Lisison Group. Mayor Hamre recognized Dr. David Shrives and the 10th Bowmanville Cubs who were in attendance to observe the proceedings of Council. Resolution #C-112-94 Moved by Councillor Hooper, seconded by Councillor Dreslinski THAT formal approval now be given on the purchase of a new 1990 GMC Van at a vehicle cost of $22,940 plus taxes and painting, such purchase to be charged to the Fire Equipment Reserve Account #2900-14-X.
