Committee held on May 27, 1991, at

Also Present: Town Clerk, Patti L. Barrie,
MINUTES
Resolution #SC-19-91
Moved by Councillor Wotten, seconded by Councillor Deegan
THAT the minutes of the Striking Committee meeting held on
Monday, February 11, 1991, be approved.

Resolution #SC-20-91
Memorial Hospital Moved by Councillor Deegan, seconded by Councillor Wotten
Bowmanville
THAT the correspondence dated May S, 1991, from R.E. Elston, Secretary,
Board of Directors, Bowmanville Memorial Hospital, requesting Council's
appointment for a representative of the Board of Directors for the Memorial
Hospital - Bowmanville, for a one year term be received;
THAT Mark Borutski be re-appointed to the Board of Directors of Memorial
Hospital - Bowmanville, for a one year term; and
THAT R.E. Elston and Mark Borutski be advised of Council's decision.

Moved by Councillor Wotten, seconded by Councillor Deegan
THAT the correspondence dated May 9, 1991, from C.W. Lundy, Regional
Clerk, Regional Municipality of Durham, forwarding Mr. R.E. Elston's
request for a Regional representative for the Board of Directors for the
Memorial Hospital - Bowmanville for a one year term be received;

THAT Carol Noble be re-appointed as the Regional representative to the
Board of Directors for the Memorial Hospital - Bowmanville for a one year
term; and
THAT the Region of Durham, R.E. Elston and Carol Noble be advised of
Council's decision.

Newcastle Community Moved by Councillor Wotten, seconded by Councillor Deegan
Services Advisory
Board THAT the items of correspondence received from Arthur Morton and Bruce
Wood, forwarding their resignations from the Newcastle Community Services
Advisory Board be received and they be thanked for their contribution to the
Board;
THAT June Smith and Denis Millette be appointed to represent Ward I on
the Newcastle Community Services Advisory Board, subsequent to the
vacancies created by the resignations of Arthur Morton and Bruce Wood;
and
THAT June Smith and Denis Millette be advised of Council's decision.

Resolution #SC-23-91
L.A.C.A.C. Moved by Councillor Deegan, seconded by Councillor Wotten
THAT the correspondence received from Phyllis Dewell, Local Architectural
Conservation Advisory Committee Chairman, advising of the resignations of
Gail Berry, Michael Puk and Linda Millson from the Local Architectural
Conservation Advisory Committee and advising of Mark Stapleton's interest
in serving on the Committee be received;
THAT Mark Stapleton be appointed to the Local Architectural Conservation
Advisory Committee for a term ending November 30, 1991; and
THAT Mark Stapleton and Phyllis Dewell be advised of Council's
decision.

Resolution #SC-24-91
Bowmanville Moved by Councillor Wotten, seconded by Councillor Deegan
Museum
THAT the correspondence dated February 5, 1991, from Ellen Logan,
Secretary-Treasurer, Bowmanville Museum, requesting that Council consider
approval of an extra citizen board member be received;
THAT this request be reviewed at such time as the term of the present
board has expired and the new Members are to be appointed; and
THAT Mrs. Ellen Logan be advised of Council's decision.

Resolution #SC-25-91
Newcastle Community Moved by Councillor Wotten, seconded by Councillor Deegan
Hall Board
THAT Brenton Rickard and Seird DeJong be appointed to the Newcastle
Community Hall Board;
THAT the election of Doug Smith and Penny Kearney to the Newcastle
Community Hall Board by the residents of Newcastle Village be approved by
Council;
THAT the Clerk place an advertisement in the local newspapers requesting
applications from interested women to fill the vacancy on the Newcastle
Community Hall Board; and
THAT Brenton Rickard, Seird DeJong, Doug Smith and Penny Kearney be
advised of Council's decision.
