Accounts Payable It was recommended to Council that the Supplementary Statement of Account Payable, $12,491.64, as presented by the Treasurer be approved for payment subject to the account of $256.00 for Preston Warehousing Co. being held for an explanation. 2. Mileage Claims { It was recommended to Council that the following mileage claims, as presented by the Treasurer, be approved for payment: J. Charges for Garbage Disposal / It was recommended to Council that the letter from the, Regional Works Department regarding charges at the Darlington Disposal Site be received for information and Coun2illor Tink report back regarding charges for private garbage disposal. 4. Orono Swimming Club Grant 6° F$ It was recommended to Council that the request from the Orono Water Safety . . ?` Swimming Club for a Grant for 1977 be referred to next year's budget. 5. Orono P.U.C.Debenture Issue It was recommended to Council that they concur with the regtel3t of the Orono P.U.C. for an advance of $5000. pending the issuance of Debentures. 6. Regional Police Force It was recommended to Council that the Resolution regarding the takeover by the Regional Police Force be rescinded and Council go on record as opposing an extension of Regional Police Services in the Town of Newcastle and that Council is absolutely satisfied with the services provided by the Ontario Provincial Police. 7. Committee re M. M. Dillon Studies It was recommended to Council that Councillor Cowman be appointed Chairman of the Committee to work with the Mayor and Liaison with the Region regarding the three Studies which M. M. Dillon has been hired to undertake. 8. Filing Cabinet It was recommended to Council that a filing cabinet be purchased for the Clerk's Office and the money be found in the equipment Maintenance Account. Respectfully submitted, K. E.
