Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:-
The following is a report of the meeting of the Finance Committee held on March 8,
1976, in the Committee Room of the Bowmanville Town Hall.
1. Meeting with Regional Works
It was recommended to Council that a meeting be arranged with the Regional Works
Committee to discuss Sewer and Water charges and that representatives of the local
utilities be invited to attend.
2. Sewer and Water Charges
It was recommended to Council that By-Law #293-75 and Report 476-26, re Sewer /
and Water Charges the Region of Durham, be received for information.
3. Regional Sewer Charges
It was recommended to Council that a letter from Mrs R. Lilley regarding
Regional Sewer Charges be forwarded to the Commissioner of Finance with the
request that he get in touch with Mrs. Lilley and Council be advised of his answer.
4. Orono Community Centre
It was recommended to Council that the letter from Russ Major re the Orono
Community Centre Feasibility Study be received for information.
5. Tyrone Hall Construction
It was recommended to Council that Payment Certificate V, Tyrone Community
Centre, for Bowman "onstruction, in the amount of $3,760. be approved for payment.
6. Mileage Claims
It was recommended to Council that the following list of Mileage Claims be
approved for payment:

7. Accounts
It was recommended to Council that the list of accounts as presented by the
Treasurer be approved for payment.
a. Membership Tax Collectors of Ontario
It was recommended to Council that the fee of $25. for membership in the Tax
Collectors Association of Ontario, be approved.
9. Municipal Administration Program
It was recommended that the Treasurer be authorised to engage a student under
the Involvement in Municipal Administration Programs at a salary not to exceed
$110. per week.
10. Orono Art Group
It was recommended to Council that the Orono Art Group be paid $200. , their
portion of the former Township of Clarke Recreation Grant for 1973.
