Minutes of a meeting of the Finance Committee held
in Court Room No. 2 on November 22nd, 1976 at
9:00 a.m.

Adoption THAT the minutes of meeting of November 8th, 1976 be
of adopted.

Repairs to Mr. Best, By-Law Enforcement Officer and Mr. G. Cowell of
Gestetner Gestetner Company appeared before the Committee relative
Machineto- the-possible -purchase-of-a-new Gestetner- machine for
the Hampton Office.

THAT the present Gestetner machine be repaired.

Note: It was suggested that the Hampton -Office could
run off their stencils at the Bowmanville Office in the
meantime as Mrs. D. Fernlund usually comes at 2:00 p.m.
each day to collect the Hampton mail.

Kirby Mr. A. Thompson, Chairman of the Museum Board and
School Mr. Hancock of the Clarke Museum appeared before the
Committee relative to the purchase of the former Kirby
School for an extension to the Museum.

THAT the School Board be asked if they would lease the
building for seven years at a nominal amount per year
for use by the Museum.

Councillor Lyzll left at this point and Councillor Tink

74-89 THAT an amendment be presented to Council to amend By-Law
Staff Policy No. 74-89 as amended by By-law No. 76--44 so that the
Works Secretary will be paid on a bi-weekly basis.

Parking Meters THAT the parking meters on the Municipal Parking Lot
Christmas on Church Street, East of the Fire Building be covered
Period between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from Monday,
November 29th, 1976 to Friday, December 31st, 1976 to
encourage Christmas Shopping in Bowmanville and that a
Notice be placed in the Canadian Statesman and Notice given
out to merchants of the down town area.

Durham Senior THAT the matter of the purchase of part of Station Street
Citizens Home in Orono from the Railway Company be referred to the
