E. Lyall, Chairman Councillor D. W. Allin, Member, until 11 a.m. Councillor I. M. Hobbs, Member Councillor H. B. Tink, Member Councillor K. Entwisle, Member - at 9:30 a.m. Mayor G. B. Rickard, Member J. F. Descent, Treasurer Deputy Clerk, G. Gray, Secretary. Resolution #F-107-76 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Tink Adoption THAT the minutes of the meeting of March 8, 1976 be adopted. of Minutes. "CARRIED" Budgets A discussion of Budgets took place. Resolution #F-108-76 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Allin By-Law THAT the Committee concur in principle with the By-law Enforcement Enforcement Budget. Budget "CARRIED" Resolution #F-109-76 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Allin larking THAT the Committee concur in principle with the Parking Authority Authority and Meters Budget. "CARRIED" Resolution #F-110-76 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Allin Hale THAT it be recommended to the Region that the Hale and Couch and Couch Disposal Sites be recognized as private sites and that they Disposal collect their charges from the users. Tink Budget THAT a meeting to discuss Budgets be held on March 29, 1976 Meeting at 1 p.m. "CARRIED" Meeting The meeting of Council with the Regional Works Committee to with discuss Sewer and Water rates was set for March 25, 10 a.m. Regional at 105 Consumers Drive, Whitby. Works re Sewer and Water Rates Resolution #F-113-76 Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. Hobbs Feasibility THAT Totten Sims Hubicki Associates be asked to give a quick study re report of the feasibility of providing economical, office space Office Space on the second floor of the Bowmanville Town Hall with an second floor approximate opinion of the cost. Tink Leighton THAT Leighton & Kidd be thanked for their letter re Town Hall & Kidd re Renovations and advised that the Committee has come to the Town Hall conclusion that the Building is not worth refurbishing as a Heritage Program. THAT it be recommended to Council that they pay the 1� per re capita requested by the A.M.O. in their letter of February 27, Ontario 1976, as the Municipality's share of the expenses incurred Hydro by the Association's participation in the hearings before the Hearings Ontario Energy Board with respect to Ontario Hydro rate increases. Entwisle Building THAT Committee concur with the recommendation of the Chief Permit Building Inspector that the fees for Building Permits be Fees $6.00 for the first $1,000. and $5.00 for each additional $1,000. Tink THAT the foregoing resolution be tabled and Mr. Holmes of the Noithumberland and Newcastle Board of Education be invited to attend the next meeting of Finance to speak to the motion. Hobbs Building THAT the Chief Building Inspector be invited to attend the Evaluation next meeting of Finance to explain how he values buildings for permit purposes. Hobbs, seconded by Mayor Rickard Orono THAT it be recommended to Council that they concur with Deficit the Treasurer's report that the $8,91.0. deficit from the $8,910. former Village of Orono be charged off as a 1976 Budget Item. Tink Mileage THAT the mileage claims as presented by the Treasurer be Claims approved with the exception of the Cemetery Department. "CARRIED" Resolution #F-122-76 Moved by Con.
