Council: The following recommendations were made by -the Finance Committee at a meeting held on July 14th, 1975 at 1:00 p.m. in the Committee Room of the Bowmanville Town Hall:- 1. Resignation of Parking By-Law Officer 1 THAT the resignation of the Parking By-Law Enforcement Officer be accepted with regret and a letter of thanks be sent to him. 2. Municipal and School 'Tax Credits for Assistance of Elderly Persons THAT Council concur with the report of the Clerk regarding Municipal and School Tax Credits for the Assistance of Elderly Persons and the by-lau be presented to Council. 3. Resolution re Sc? ool Boards Collecting Taxes THAT it be recommended to Council that they recommend to the Province of Ontario that the necessary steps be taken to require the School Boards to set up the necessary procedures so that the Boards can collect future school tares rather than have the Municipality collect the taxes and support for the motion be requested from all Regional Municipalities and Restructured Counties, the AoM.0., A.C.R.O., Municipal Liaison Committee and copies be sent to Honourable Thomas [dells and Honourable D'Arcy McKeough. 6. Account Dunwoody THAT the account of Dunwoody and Company of $175.00 not be paid for reasons outlined in Mr. Descent's letter of June 5th, 1975. 7. Supplementary Budget for Recreation Newcastle Swimming Pool THAT the supplementary Budget for Recreation for the Newcastle Swimming Pool, of $9,000. be recommended to Council.
