Mayor Rickard and Members of Council:
The following recommendations were made to Council at a meeting of the
Finance Committee on March 10, 1975-
1. With reference to the appearance of Mr. E. R. Lovekin, Solicitor and Mr.
Merrill Brown before the Committee relative to a Quit Claim Deed on Lot 1,
in Lot 28, Concession 2, Manning Plan in the former Village of Newcastle
(Mare property), that Mr. Lovekin prepare a Quit Claim deed as required,
and present it to this Committee after having been reviewed by the Town
Solicitor.
2. With reference to the request of Mr. Lovekin and Mr. Brown for a Quit Claim
deed to correct the boundary of a parcel of land formerly sold by the
Township of Clarke in connection with the proposed Senior Citizens Lodge
at Orono, that Mr. Lovekin prepare a Quit Claim deed to correct the previous
deed.
3. That authority be given to Municipal Planning Consultants Ltd. to undertake
the additional research as outlined in their letter dated February 17, 1975.
4. That the Town Clerk be requested to submit a By-law for Council's consideration
to appoint Neil Webster as Parking Enforcement Officer for the Town of
Newcastle and also submit a report to the Finance Committee for occasional
enforcement outside the Bowmanville area, the cost of which would be borne
by current expenditures rather than the parking meter fund.

5. That a Working Capital Reserve of �. be set up in the Financial Statements
for 1974.
6. That the mileage claims as submitted by the Treasurer be paid.
7. That the Statement of recounts for February 1975, as submitted by the Treasurer
be approved and the accounts paid.
8. That Jackson Ypes associates bill in the amount of $2,674. 28 for professional
services in connection with the Darlington Sports Centre, be paid.
9. That the former Town of. Bowmanville Parking by-law be amended to prohibit
parking on grassed boulevards.
