Bruce Tink, Chairman Call Councillor Donald 14. Allin, Member Councillor Ann Cowman, Member Councillor Ivan M. Hobbs, Member Councillor Kenneth E. Lyall, Member Treasurer J.F. Descent Town Clerk J.M. Mcllroy, Secretary Absent: Mayor Garnet B. Rickard, Member Councillor Kirk Entwisle, Member Resolution #Fd268-75 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Lyall, Adoption THAT the minutes of meeting held on July 28th, 1975 be of Minutes adopted. "CARRIED" Quit Claim Mr. E.R. Lovekin appeared before Council with regard to Deed Quit Claim Deed relative to the Hare property [,Test of the Percy Hare Community Hall in Newcastle. (See Resolution #F-81-75 Estate I•larch 10th, 1975). Mr. Lovekin presented a Quit Claim Deed in this regard for the consideration of the Committee. Resolution #F-269-75 Moved by Con. Robbs, seconded by Con. Allin. THAT Council concur with the signing of the Deed and that an appropriate Bylaw be submitted to Council. 1'CARR IED 1 1 Resolution #F-270-75 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Cowman. Mileage THAT the Mileage Claims as submitted by the Treasurer be I Claims approved. Invoice from THAT Council concur with the report of the Planner relative Municipal to invoice from Municipal Planning Consultants for Month Planning of April, 1975. Consultants "CARRIED" Resolution #F-272-75 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Cowman. Well Boring THAT Faulkner's Well Drilling Company Limited bill for Darlington drilling well at the Darlington Sports Centre in the Sports amount of $3,060 be paid. Municipal THAT the list of grants as submitted by the Treasurer be Grants paid except for the grant of $8,000 to the Durham Centra! Lyall. THAT the Treasurer's statement of the Warble Fly account to August 7th, 1975 be received for information. Clarke THAT the Chairman of Clarke Museum be advised that the Museum amount of the Provincial Grant of $1 , 731 will not be paid to the Board until it has been received from the Province, but that the balance due from the Town in the amount of $433 be paid. Waste THAT the bill owing to the Region for waste disposal in Disposal the amount of $10,900 be referred to the next meeting when the Mayor would be present. Statement THAT the Statement of Accounts for July, 1975 as presented of by the Treasurer be received for information, the accounts Accounts having been paid as per Resolution #C-75-8690 "CARRIED" I Resolution #F-279475 i Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Cowman. Mileage THAT the Report on Mileage Rates dated August 20th, 1975 Rates submitted by Mr. Ferguson be received for information. "CARRIED" House in The Treasurer made a verbal report on the condition of the Soper house owned by the Town in Soper Creek Park. Creek Park Resolution #F-280-75 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Allin. THAT the Chief Building Inspector inspect the house and give an estimate of how much it would cost to put it in shape and also give a rough valuation. "CARRIED" Finance Committee - 4 - August 25th, 1975 Newcastle The Treasurer reported that the Newcastle Lions Club Pool had submitted a request for payments of certain accounts in connection with the Newcastle Swimming Pool. THAT the bilis outstanding be paid up to the limit of funds held by the Treasurer and that the Newcastle Lions Club be approached for funds sufficient to pay the balance of bills outstanding.
