Minutes of a meeting of the Finance Committee
held in the Bowmanville Committee Room on Monday,
June 2, 1975, at 8:30 a.m.
Roll Present were: Con. H. B. Tink, Chairman
Call Con. K. Lyall, Member
Con. K. Entwisle, Member
Con. A. Cowman, Member
Mayor G. B. Rickard, Member
Con. I. M. Hobbs, Member
Absent: Con. D. W. Allin, Member
Recreation Mr. T. A. Fanning, Recr.eat-, n Director was present for the
Budget discussion of the Recreation Budget.
Resolution #F-186-75
Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Mayor Rickard
THAT the total Recreation Budget be adjusted so that the net
increase in deficit does not exceed 20%.

Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Cowman
THAT the discussion regarding the Recreation Budget be
extended for one-half hour.

Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. Lyall
Newcastle THAT the Newcastle Recreation Committee be advised that
Recreation their support for 1975 will not exceed $10,000.

Budget discussion of the Planning Budget.

THAT the Planning Department Budget be approved as presented.

There was a 10 minute recess.
Public Mr. J. C. Dunham, Director of Public Works was present for
Works the discussion of the Works Department Budget.

THAT the recommendation of the Public Works Director to
delete $85,000. from the Capital Expenditures for Works
be approved.

THAT the recommendation of the Public Works Director that
equipment maintenance in the Works Budget be reduced to
$15,000. , be approved.

THAT the Treasury Department Budget of $34,700. be approved.
