Finance Committee March 10, 1975
Minutes of a meeting of the Finance Committee held
in the Bowmanville Committee Room on Monday, March 10,
1975 at 3.45 p.m.
Roll Call All members of the Committee were present with the
exception of Mayor Rickard who was on vacation.

Adoption of Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Allin
Minutes
THAT the minutes of meetingsheld on February 24th and
February 28th, 1975 be approved.

Quit Claim Mr. E. R. Lovekin, Solicitor and Mr. Merrill Brown
Deed appeared before Committee relative to a Quit Claim deed
on Lot 1, in Lot 28, Concession 2, Hannings Plan in the
former Village of Newcastle. (Hare property)

and present it to this Committee after having been
reviewed by the Town Solicitor.

Councillor Lyall moved that the Town Solicitor be asked
for legal opinion but his motion was not seconded.

Durham County Mr. Lovekin and Mr. Brown requested a quit claim deed to
Senior Citizens correct the boundary of a parcel of land formerly sold by
Lodge the Township of Clarke in connection with the proposed
Senior Citizens Lodge at Orono. This was to correct a
previous survey.

THAT Mr. Lovekin prepare a quit claim deed to correct the
previous deed.

in their letter dated February 17, 1975.

Parking THAT the Town Clerk be requested to submit a By-law
Enforcement for Council's consideration to appoint Neil Webster as j
Officer Parking Enforcement Officer for the Town of Newcastle
and -,-lso submit a report to the Finance Committee for
occasional enforcement outside the Bowmanville area,
the cost of which would be borne by current expenditures
rather than the parking meter Fund.
