Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Finance
Committee held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday,
July 4th, 1974, in Court Room No. 2, in the
Police and Fire Building.
Present: Councillor 11. Bruce Tink, Chairman
Mayor G. B. Rickard, Member
Councillor Kirk Entwisle, Member
Councillor Ivan M. Hobbs, Member

Mr. J. F. Descent, Treasurer.
Mr. R. Bryden, Deputy Treasurer
Mr. H. DeWith, Accountant
Absent: Councillor A. D. Wearn, Member

Newcastle THAT the Community Services Committee meet with the
Community members of the Newcaslte Community Hall Board as soon
Hall as possible to discuss the total functions of the Board.

1974 THAT the Treasurer be authorised to forward to the
Budget Ministry of Treasury, Economics and Intergovernmental
Affairs, a draft copy of the comparison of Mill Rates
and to ask for their assistance in clarifying the
apparc-nt discrepancy of the mill rates for Ward 2,
(Bowmanville) and 6-lard 3 (Newcastle).
