Subject: MONTHLY FIRE REPORT - JULY, 1995
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
THAT Report FD-13-95 be received for information.
1 BACKGROUND
1.1 Our report covers the month of July, 1995. It is our intent to provide Committee
with information relevant to this department, in a timely manner.
2. REPORT
2.1 The department responded to 150 calls in June and recorded total fire loss at
$2,397,000. Fire loss in the amount of$2,350,000 is attributed to the incendiary
nature fires at Newcastle Lumber on King Street East, Newcastle and the
apartment building fire on Main Street, Orono. A breakdown of the calls
responded to is listed below.
