Subject: ONTARIO HYDRO D.N.G.S. "TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT"
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended:
1.) THAT report FD-4-94 be received for information; and
2.) THAT Ontario Hydro be thanked for their contribution.

1. BACKGROUND
1.1 During talks with Ontario Hydro, related to primary response and the dissolving
of the construction fire department at D.N.G.S., there was discussion, on hydro's
part, as to the disposal of the 1979 pumper truck and some equipment.

1.2 At the time it was suggested that the truck, when it was no longer needed at the
Darlington site, be turned over to the municipality for its use.
1.3. This vehicle, although it is not suitable for primary response within the
municipality because it does not meet the N.F.P.A. standards, not being equipped
with a jump seat, will be used for training and as an emergency backup unit.
1.4 The vehicle also was equipped with several pieces of equipment (list attached),
which will be of great use to the department.

2 -2. RECOMMENDATIONS
2.1 It is recommended that this report be received for information, and
2.2 That Ontario Hydro be thanked for their contribution of the vehicle and equipment
to the Clarington Fire Department.
