By-Law Subject: QUARTERLY REPORT - APRIL 1, 1993 - JUNE 30, 1993 Recommendations: It is respectfully recommended: THAT report FD-7-93 be received for information. 1. BACKGROUND 1. 1 This report covers the total calls for the second quarter of 1993. 1.2 During this quarter the department responded to a total of 258 calls of various types . 1. 3 There were no major fires during this period, although there were several moderately damaging fires . 6 Continued. . . . . . COMMENTS 2 . 1 During this quarter we had our first firefighters graduate from the Ontario Fire College, which represents a high point for the department. 2 . 2 The total calls for this quarter in comparison to the same quarter of 1992 represent an increase of 32 calls an 14% reduction. However, the year-to-date totals show a reduction of 54 calls or 11% . 2 . 3 Although there is an increase or decrease in ambulance assist calls from month to month, there is a decline over the first half of 1993 in comparison to 1992 . This decline is 21 calls or a 36% reduction. We will continue to monitor the calls to ensure that Council's resolution is adhered to. I �; ! I Continued. . . . . FD-7-93 - 3 - 3.
