THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW 2005-155
Being a by-law to amend By-law 2003-179, as amended, being a by-law
respecting the annual allowances paid to the Mayor and Members of Council
WHEREAS on June 27, 2005, the Council of the Municipality of Clarington
passed a resolution authorizing an amendment to By-law 2003 -179;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED:
1. THAT By-law 2003-179 be amended be deleting Section 2 and replacing it
with the following:
That the 2005 monthly rate of travel allowance be set at:
Mayor
Deputy Mayor
Councillor
$1,293
$ 823
$ 564
and that the above rates be adjusted automatically upon future negotiated
per kilometre travel rates between the Municipality and the CUPE
employees.
2. THAT By-law 2003-179 be amended by deleting Section 3 in its entirety.
3. THAT Section 4 be amended by deleting the words "travel allowances".
4. THAT Sections 4 and 5 be renumbered as Sections 3 and 4, respectively.
By-law read a first and second time this 2yth day of June 2005.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 27th day of June 2005.
