HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 11-05-53 HA=ION, November 5, 1953. Darlington Council met this day with Deputy Reeve Rickard presiding, as Reeve Nichols was indisposed and unable to be present. The Minutes of last meeting were read and on motion adopted as read. On motion of ETF.G.Vice and M. Tabb the Clerk write to Mrs. W.J.Ormiston that the Council have not anything to do tboiit her taxes as they are raised b,-,- the same rates as apply throughout the Township. "'r. Everton 'White and Representative from Liability Insurance Co. addressedtheCouncil regarding Liability Ins. for Damages to crops by roadside spraying and also Warble Fly spraying. The Council decided to leave this matter over for a time. W.R.Pickell addressed Council re-trees on road side. On motion of E.- .G. Vice and R.C.Stevens the Council agree to let Mr. Pickell out the dead trees subject to Reeve Nichols approval. E.A.Varcoe, Building Inspector , addressed the Council stating that the Health Unit had secured the services of another Sanitary Inspector. I Road Supt. presented his report and vouchers for October which were on motion accepted and vouchers ordered to be paid. The general accounts were, on motion, ordered to be paid except the amounts for 'W.B.Benne'Lt and Riverdale Isolation Hospital. On motion of R.C.Stevens and M. Tabb this Council approve the plan submitted by Duckrin Bros. Mr. Geo. Turnbull addressed the Council re- Road Machinery. On motion of R.C.Stevens and E.F.G.Vice the Clerk write to 1r. Crown to attend our next meeting. array Tabb spoke re- reforestration by Darlington Township stating that there would have to be a road or roads made in orderK to do this work. On motion of R.C.Stevens and M.Tabb Council hold their Nomination Day on Friday November 27 at 12 o'clock to 1 On motion the meeting adjourned to meet Decemberl'.
