Darlington Township Council met this day in the Township Hall with all
Members presentTownship
Minutes of last meeting were read and on motion of Councillors Stevens and
Terry were approved as read.
Letter from 'jr. Heal complaining of the condition of ditch on roadside next
his property was referedd to Road Supt.
By-Law No. 2010 to authorize a Bank loan was given its several readings
and on motion of Councillor Vice and Deputy Reeve Rickard was ordered signed sealed and
delivered.
By-Law No 2011 to restrict loading or' Trucks to one half of their regular
capacity on certain Township roads was given its several reading and on mo+.ion of k, imcillors
,+Terry and Stevens was ordered signed sealed and delivered.
Movec. by Co-anicillors Terra and Nice that Bo manviile Memorial Hospital
be granted $2000.00. Carried.
Moved by Councillors Vice and merry that salaries of Members of Council
be paid as last year. Carried.
Moved by Councillors Stevens and Werry that calls for sno-,ploughing on
Sundays and after office huars in case of a person going to a doctor or wishing a doctor at
the home may be called to the Road Supt. or any Member of Council. This to appear as an
advertisement in theStatesman.. Carried.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Vice that Reeve and Treasurer
be given authority to pay road accounts due in 1954 on December 3151951.. Carried.
Moved by Councillors Vice and Stevens that Tenders be called for a
mainta ner with a mini=, jm of 100 H.P. , 12 Ply 13.00ji24 tires,all round, and with snow
plow and .ling attachments. Carried.
Moved by Councillors Vice and Stevens that G.B,Rickard be asked to accept
appointment to Durham County District High School Board. Carried.
On motion of Councillors Stevens and Vice the General accounts be paid.
On motion of Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Vice that Read Accounts
be paid.
On motion .meeting adjourned.
