Darlington To-xnsIdp Council held a special Meeting in the Township
Hall on the above date, C.to consider a drainage problem in Lot 22 and 23, Concession
21 to deal with the application of Jones Real Estate for a new sub-division in Lot
31, Concession 4, and to open Tenders for Maintainer.
Two property owners in Lot 22, Concession 2 asked for drainage for
their property. Clerk was instructed to contact A.R.Simcock to arrange for a survey,

Moved by Stevens and Deputy Reeve Vice that
Township Council approve .the Hillcrest, Heights Sub-division plan in Lot 31,Con. Z,,
provided that Block "? is turned over to the Township for a community playground
and that assurance is given that the exchange of property with V.L.A. is acceptable
to them in all respects. Carried.
Tenders for Maintainer with snow plow,snow wing, and power sliding
mouldboard were received as follows:

Tenders were also received for maintainer,snow plow and snow Wing
with no quotation on power sliding mouldboard from
Crothers Cc (Caterpillar) 21,591000
Sawyer Massey (.Austin-Western) 18,952.00
Moved by Deputy Reeve Vice and Councillor Stevens that the Township of
Darlington purchase the Adams Maintainer as tendered, at a price of $ 214J+2.00,
subject to the approval of the Dept. of Highways. (Carried.
Moved.by Councillor Stevens and Councillor 'merry that the Township
apply to the Municipal Board for permission to pay for the new Maintainer as follo-vils:
5016 in 1955 and the balance in 1956, the 1956 payment to bear interest at the rate
of 4Y.
