A metting of Representatives of the City of Oshawa, East Whitby
Township, and Darlington Township, was held in the Oshava City Hall on the above date.
Tenders for paving the Town Line Road from � 2 Highway North to
i
Taunton were opened and discussed.
IL-. Gifford of Oshawa reported that he was prepared to recommend
to his Council that the Tender of Bennett Paving Co. be accepted.
Mr. Vice of Darlington reported that Darlington Council was prepared
to recommend that they accept the Bennett Tender.
Mr. Beath of East Whitby reported that East Whitby delegation would
prefer not to commit themselves at this time.
Mr. Bennett stated that if only the approximate 4000 ft-(Oshawa and
Darlington ) were to be done the price per ton would be A7.50.
It was proposed that in case East Whitby does not proceed with the
hot mix proposal, that Oshawa and Darlington proceed with their portion, that Darlington
accept the Tender and that Oshawa pay the Contractor and Darlington to pay Oshawa
its share.
Copies of Resolutions passed at regular meeting to go forward to all
Council& concerned.
List of lenders to be sent to other Councils.
