Darlington Council held a special meeting this afternoon to open
Tenders for Truck and other business to come before the Council.
F.J.Clemens addressed Council re road between Lots 11F-lS,Con. 6,
and between Lots 8 - 9, Con. 5, and requested that something be done to repair them.
On motion of Chas Osborne and R.C.Stevens, Deputy Reeve Vice,
Clerk, and Chas. Osborne approach the Johnsons regarding land for road allowance
through Lot 15 to the first cement bridge from the North, the other road to be
inspected by Road Supt. Left to the Road Comuittee.
On motion of Percy '+Terry and E.F.G.Vice the cheques be signed to
Chas. Garrard, Chas. Rankine and Arthur Moore for land purchased for road
divisions.
Tenders for Truck were opened.

Thomas Motors, Cobourg Net 6399.65
On motion of R.C.Stevens and E.F.G.Vice this Council purchase
an International Truck from Farre Equipment and Automotive, IFowsranville,(Thos.Cowan)
at a price of $6222.00.

That the Department be requested to transfer 12000.00 from
Road Construction to New Machinery on the Supplementery
By-Law passed in 1955.
By-Law ,,# 2021 was given its third reading and ordered to be signed

On motion of R.C.Stevens and E.F.G.Vice, a cheque for X65.00
be forwarded to Municipal Board to cover their fee in this conneetion.
