Minutes of last regular meeting, and of special meetings held on June 13 and June 29, were read and on notion of Councillor Stevens and Werry were approved as read,. Clerk was instructed to call H. Hoskin to arrange for cleaning ditch on J. Crawford Road. MessArs Graham and Hogarth were instructed to contact D. Lamb and. C Dettinger re purchase of land for road improvement. Road accounts and vouchers for June were presented and on motion of Deputy Reeve Vice and Councillor Stevens were ordered paid. General accounts were presented and on motion of Councillors Stevens and Werry, were ordered paid. Clerk was instructed to bill Fast Whitby Township for one half ()) the cost of advertising for Tenders re Town Line paving. Ralph Tooley letter was referred to Public School Board. Clerk was instructed to arrange a meeting between the Reeve and Mr. Totten re the Enniskillen Paving job. Resolution from New Toronto Council was endorsed, by motion of Deputy Reeve Vice and Councillor Werry.' Clerk was instructed to write to the Bell Telephone Company approving their estimate of cost of moving line on Lawson Road, also to the Hydro Electric Power Commission for estimate of their cost on the same job. Moved by Councillors Osborne and Werry that One Hundred Dollars($100.00) be paid W.Johnson as advance payment on land purchase from him. Carried. On motion of Councillors Osborne and Stevens, Reeve and Treasurer were authorized to sign cheques to pay school contractors their monthly payments as authorized by the architect. Moved by Councillor Stevens and Councillor 'Merry that bid of Gairdner 3- Co. to purchase 4 % Debentures in the amount of $80,000.00 at 9102.80 be accepted. Carried. Moved by Deputy Reeve Vice and Councillor Stevens that Frank Sobil be appointed to the Planning Board for the balance of a one year terra. Carried. Moved by Councillors Stevens and Werry that Clerk advertise for Tenders for asphalt siding for Township Hall. CGrried.7" Moved by Councillors Stevens and Werry that the resignation of J.D.Hoj3arth as C1erk,Treasurer and Tax Collector be accepted. Carried. Moved by Councillors Stevens an merry that Walter E. Rundle be engaged as Clerk, Treasurer and Tax Collector at a salary of $3600.00 per annum com encing Julyl, 1955. Carried. On motion the -meeting adjourned.
