Darlington Township Council met in the Township Hall on the above
date with all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding.
Minu.tes of last meeting were read and on motion of Councillor Osborne
and Deputy Reeve Vice were approved as read.
Moved by Councillor Stevens and seconded by Dep. Reeve Vice that no
license for wrecking yard etc. be issued to ?Messrs. Sills and Clarice in lands in Lot
23, Concession 2, Darlington. Carried.
Moved by Councillors Stevens and Werry that no licenses be issued
without having been reviewed by Council. Carried.
By-law 2025 By-Law 2025 (Building By-Law) was given its third reading and passed.
By-law ' 2026 (Borrowing money for Schools) . By-law # 2027 (Clerk,
Treas. % Tax Collector Appointment) By-law # 2025 (Su';-Division By-law) By-law # 2029
BY-law (Borrowing By-law) were given their several readings and ordered signed, sealed and
numbered.
Moved by Councillor Stevens and Councillor Werry that Tender of Chas.
L. Warren to apply stone faced siding on Township Hall at $ 683.00 be acce8tedarried.
Cleric was instructed to get price from Bennett Paving Co. on
side to �.°enetery in Hampton.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Vice and Councillor Osborne that paving job
at Enniskillen to correct watercourse be given to Bennett Paving Co. Carried.
Moved by Councillors Osborne and Werry that Reforestation Committee
be authorized to buy 16000 trees for Township forest. Carried.
J.K.Graham asked Council to re-locate road in Lot 13, Con. 9. The
Matter was referred to the Road Committee.
Moved by Councillors Stevens and Werry that General accounts be passed
as presented. Carried.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Vice and Councillor Osborne that road accounts
be passed as corrected. Carried.
Moved by Dep. Reeve Vice and Councillor Osborne that Councillors
Stevens and Werry, Assessor W.L.Lycett, and Clerk be a Committee to study methods
of collecting dog tax, and that J.D.Hogarth be authorized to collect dog tax. Carried.
On motion meeting adjourned.
