Minutes of three previous meetings were read and approved as read® Mr. McLellan of the Frank Cowan Company sl2oke re Township Insurance. Moved by Councillors Osborne and Blanchard that the Finance Committee review Tnsurance program and make recommendations to April meeting. Moved by Councillor Stevens and Deputy Reeve Rickard that Road Liability Insurance to be increased to $100,000.00 inclusive, that the non-owned automobile and spray liability be renewed, that hte fleet insurance be written in General Accident and the Floater Tnsurance be written in General Accident and the Agents for these contracts to be named at the April meeting.- G.F.Annis, Livestock Valuator, and Sidney Wroden, appeared re sheep damage claim. Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Osborne the G.F.Annis be authorized to secure professional advice from a Veterinary or other source in the matter of Sidney Worden sheep damage. Resolution 1. Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Stevens that "This Council give tentative approval to the proposal of the South Darlington Township Area School Board, that the Township issue an 80000.00 Debenture for the purpose of constructing two school buildings in the Area, subject to the approval of the Ontario municipal Board." Moved by Councillors Osborne and Stevens thatA.L.Blanchard be appointed to the Township Forestry Committee. Moved by Councillors Osborne and Blanchard that any person asking approval for a sub-division in Darlington Township be required to pay all costs of constructing streets in the sub-division, such streets to be constructed by the Township if required, and that a performance bond be furnished by the applicant at his own expense in an amount sufficient to cover all such costs of construction, and the sub-divided must consent to the Township' s estimate of cost. Move by Councillor Blanchard and Deputy Reeve Rickard that an offer of $500.00 stand-by time, and an amount of $100.00 per hour for the first hour and $35.00 per hour after, be made to the City of Oshawa for fire protection in West Darlington. Moved by Councillors Osborne and Stevens that hi-way Construction be paid $250.00 to settle 1955 claim, this will settle all claims to Dec. 31, 1955® Moved by Councillors Osborne and Stevens and H.F.Osborne be paid $7.50 for 1954 aueount for brushing and clearing. Moved by Councillors Osborne and Blanchard that road account for �'ebruary to the amount of $5400.82 be passed and paid. Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Stevens that General accounts to the amount of $18920.31 be passed as presented. Moved by Councillor Blanchard and Deputy Reeve Rickard that Maple Grove Grocery be paid bill of $34.22. Moved by Councillcrs Blanchard and Osborne that Clerk and Road Supt. request the Ontario Dept. of Highways to establish a Development Road from Mitchell' s Corners North to Enfield. By-law to provide for through street on Courtice Road was given its several readings and ordered signed, sealed and numbered 2031. Meeting adjourned.
