Darlington Council met this day with the Members all present, The minutes of the last meetings were read and on motion approved as reade' Mr, John James made an appeal for & donation to the Arena Fund., This matter was left over to some future date, Major Deyell was present and met the prospective Game Wardens. A Ca=mnication was read fron the Liability Insurance Co. to Lloyd Down stating that they were willing to pay him one half of his loss $77.50• It was decided by Council that Lloyd accept the Insurance Cots offer of $77,50 and that when he receives the cheque from them,that the Council will pay the balance. The Bills were read and on motion ordered to be paid.. Clerk was instructed to advertise that Darlington Township is a restricted area for Pheasants and rabbits. H,G rr W,Mills inquired re-snow ploughing contract for 194$ & 9. A.Milison and. R.W.Nichols were appointed to see about Hydraulic control for wing on small plough. . Mills asked fzr $4000 pet- hour. On motion. of A.Millson and R.W Nichols, Darold Mills be paid $4,00 per hour. Mr. Lawrence Squair addressed the Council regarding the road through his proper stating that he had not received the usual rent of $10000 for 2 years. On motion of A. Millson and R*W Fichols,Mr. Squair be paid for 1947 & 49 rents, the sum of $20.00 1m. Trewin asked to have his road repaired. This was left over till next year. On motion of R.McGill and R.W.Nichols Nomination Da$e be November 26, and Polling Date be December 6, and that the following be appointed as R.O. and P.Clerks, for Polling Sub-divisions as set out on Election notices. Road Supt, presented his report and vouchers for October which were on notion accepted and vouchers ordered to be paid The Council ordered the Clerk to advertise for Court of Revision, Nov. 15, at 5 of clock P,H, Council adjourned to meet December 2/45.
