Special meeting of Darlington Council was held this evening in the
Townshi-p Hall to consider Tenders, for Power Grader, Plow and Wing.
All Members of the Council present.
Reeve Millson presiding,
Tenders were opened from:
J.D.Adams Ltd.,$ls,4o0.00, Sheridan Ecraipment $16,g06.00,'.'zeneral Supply Co. $17,020-00,
Dominion Road Machinery $ 19,400.00, Sawyer Massey $ 2.9,226.00,
Kerr Equipment $15,947,00,W,L,Ballentine $ 17,040,00,
The Representatives of the different Companys, who were present were asked
to give specific qualifications of the machine for which they had Tendered.
Representatives were present from the J.D.Adams Co, Dominion Road Yachinery,Kerr Equipment
and W.L,Bal lent ine Co,
Council discussed. in full the different qualifications of each machine Tendered.
It was moved by Roy W. Nichols-,seco-nded by Harold Skinner that the
Ballentine Tender be accepted at the price and specifications stated in Tender plus
4 chains--78H.P.Grader,Plow and Wing.
Carried unanimously.
Clerk to look after notice re-nomination for Trustee to Darlington
School Area Board (1 year term).
