Councillor Rickard absent, Minutes of the Inaugural Meeting and Special Meeting were read and a.)proved as reads Representative from. the Institute for the Blind spoke to the Council re- aid for Mrs. Robson. Moved by R, Nichols seconded by Roy McGill that $20.00 per month be sent Mrs.Wicks, Nursing Home Ne astle, aid towards Mrs. Robsonts care. Frank Pascoe addressed the Council representing delegat-i.on from the District along the County Road between Taunton and H=pton requesting hard road surface on the 5th. Concessions. They were advised to meet with the County Road Commission on February 15th, at Cobourg. Mr. John Fames addressed the Council re-Arena IN=d.. Moved by R.McGill seconded by H,Skinner that Mary Nidder-;T be authorized to sign. all Township cheques that may be presented to the Bank of Montreal for payment inthe Clerk-Treasu-rerts place until such time as he would be able to sign them.. Bills were presented. loved by H.Skinner seconded by R.Fi,chols that the bills be paid. Road. Supt. presented his report and Vouchers. Moved by R.Nichols seconded by R.MeGi11 that r�aport be accepted and vouchers paid. Moved by P Nichols secolided b R. McGill that the Township buy 1 acre of land from Bruce Yeo for the sum. of 250.0 to enlarge the Township storage yards. Moved by H. Skinner seconded by R.McGill that the scale of wages remain the same for 1949E Special meeting to set Road Estimates and appoint Road Supt. to be arranged at Mr. Marstonts convenience.
