Special Meeting of Darlington Township Council was called this

the purpose of setting Road Estimate for 1949, Reeve presided. Members all-present.
Mr. Z.S,Marstota,NunicipaI Road Engineer was also present,
After discussion it was moved by Roy Nichols,seconded by Garnet Rickard that
the -estimate be set at $60000.00 and a By-Law dram. upto that effect.
Moved by H.Skinner seconded by R.McGill that the By-IP-w be given its 1st,
2nd and 3rd readings and be signed,sealed and numbered 1151,
Moved by Roy Nichols seconded by H. Skinner that Tenders be called for
12000 yds crashed gravel, 6000 to be light Beach gravel 90 0/0 stone,
6000 yds to be -pit crushed gravel 65 0/0 stone, to be taken from Twp, pits and
crashed toan
4 sixe, Closing date of Tenders to be 12 otclock noon March 10th.
Special Meeting called at 1,30 P-M-on same day to decide on Tender.
Moved by H.Ski-n-ner seconded by R.T-Tichols that Brace Yeo be -Daicl $250-00
for 1 acre of land bG-ught by Council for storage yards and cheque be made -opLtfor that
for that amount to be handed to Mr Yeo immediately.
Moved by H. Skinner seconded by Roy MdGIILwthat W.L.11iller be appointed Road
Supt. at a salary of $1600.00 per Year plus a car allowance of $30000. By-Law to
this effect was drawn up,given its several readings and signed sealed and
=-ribered 1152.
