HomeMy WebLinkAbout1949-04-07 Hampton, April 7, 1949. Darlington Council met this day with Members all present. The minutes of the last meetings were read and on motion adopted as read. Mr. 2.3,Trall and E.F.Beckstead asked the Council to pass a By-Law to license meat redalers in the Township. This was granted. Deputation from Base Line visited the Council re- School taxes. This body was advised to write a letter stating their grievance and the Council will take it to Queen's Park{ Commmicationfi was read from H. Couch re-smoke misance in their district. Building Inspector to investigate. The bills were read and on motion were ordered to be paid. Harold Potter asked permission to use the street allowance in his property. Road Supt. and Roy McGill to look over the situation and do as they see fit. R,W,'Xichols,H.Skinner and G. Rickard be a committee to report On building as to cost of construction and size. The Road. S-a:.-)tt s report and Vouchers for 15ax- ch were presented and on motion a,.;,cepted and vouchers ordered to be paid. On m6tion the Council adjourned to meet May 5th,1949.
