Mr. Trimble, Contractor, was called on to give details of lender on machine shed. Mfr. Triable to prepare plans for the most econ&ni.cal building. possible. Mr. 17m. Brown complained that his field had been washed badly by spring f loods,carried by frozen up culvert. The Reeve appointed H.Skinner and the Road Supt. to investigate -this complaint. 21mer Trimble appeared before the Council in support of a Petition signed by 61 persons to have a overhead bridge over the new highway. Resolution: Moved by G.B.Rickard,seconded by R. McLaughlin that the Reeve take this matter concerning overhead bridge or semi-cloverleaf as submitted by delegation from bots 22 & 23 B,F, to Highway Representative. Representative from the Eastern Steel addressed the Council re: K-_C7.ine Shed. H e was to draw up plans of a suitable building. Mike Nemi s complained that the dining lot was a nuisance and wanted it cleared up. This was referred to Road Supt. for attention. Wm Tait asked for a culvert to be placed at his road entrance to his property. The Council agreed to instal the culvert, Discussion took place regarding Assessor and Equalization of the same. `!he bills were read and on motion ordered to be paid. Resolution: Moved by R. IlcLaughlin seconded by H. Skinner that the Twp. of Darlington advise Mrs. Cornish to get in touch with Manvers Twp. regarding relief. The Townshio of Darlington refuses to give her any more relief. Communication was read from Park Committee and Tlomen; s Institute regarding repairs to sidewalk, and ghat the Council were going to do regarding the Park. Resolution: beloved by R,%Ilichols seconded by H.Skinner that We, the Council will pay to the extent of 50.00 towaxds the upkeep of Township Park for Year 1950. Road Supt. presented his report and vouchers for April which were on motion accepted and vouchers ordered to be paid. B Law A 1155 to vary other By e-yrs with the Ontario Shore Gas Co. was introduced, given its several readings and ordered to be signed sealed and mambered. By-Law -j 1159 to borron: $20000.00 for current expenditure was introduced given its several readings and ordered to be signed sealed and numbered. Resolution: beloved by H. Skinner and seconded by R.W.Nichols that we instruct the Clem to advertise for an Assessor for the year 1950. Duties to commence at once. applications to be in on the 22nd of May at 12 o'clock noon, On motion of R. 7.Nichols and R. McLaughlin the meeting adjourned.
