HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-06-01 Hampton, June 1, 1950, Darlington Council met this day with the Members all present. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and on motion adopted as read. Im. Riznek applied for an entrance culvert to his property, All the Schools in South Darlington Area were representedaexcept Courtice and result of vote was in favor of withdrawal from the Area. Moved by R.W.Nichols,seconded by R.Mclaughlin that the Clerk,,prepare ',a By-Law dissolving the South Darlington School Area. A spedial meeting to be held on June 10th at the hour of 2 o'clock 1950 to give By-Law its first Reading. Mr. Alex McGregor addressed the Council re- High School District. Moved by Garnmt Rickard,seconded by H. Skinner that we accept soecifioa.tions of N. Trimble Construction to put ikp building with some alterations in windows to meet with approval of Road Supt. and Council,less floor for the sum of X7000, subject to approval of Divisional Engineer. The bills were read and on motion of H. Skinner and G. Rickard they be paid. Moved by R.W.Nichols seconded by H. .Skinner that a By-law be prepared to control Ped&lers in the Township of Darlington. Sumons of writ against the Township of Darlington by J.P Reynolds for damages by being dismissed as Assessor was read, Moved by Garnet Rickard seconded by Ha-rold Skinner that the Clerk engage N®C.Fraser to act on case of J.R.Reynolds.
