Darlington Council met this day with the Reeve presiding® The minutes of the last meeting were read and reports made on same after which they were adopted, Letter from Maple Leaf Mutual Insurance Co. was read regarding yaymtnts that they will make to Darlington on account of Fire 2rotection provided the fire loss is a Policy Holder of the Company. On motion of G.B.Rickard and E.F.D.Vice the Clerk write to Mr. Furvis and say that Darlington Council feel that the arrangement would be satisfactory. Clerk to reply to Counties! Treasurer regarding the Funeral expenses of Richard Marchant. A Delegation ftom R.R.5 0, north of Haydon addressed the Council regarding the road north of Hayden and requested that this road be repaired. The Council agreed to keep it in as good a condition as possible having regard to other roads. Cecil Found addressed the Council re-road south of Courtict to Ebenezer Church and on 9oncession to his blase of business. On motion of E.F;G. Vice and R.Waughlin that Council oil the above road on the same terms as last year, Carried. dravel Tender- of R.A.Blyth Company was brought up as unfinished business. On motion of G.T.Rickard and R. .Vice this Council accept the Tender for 10000 cu.yds., of crushed gravel more or ltss at stated price of Tender. Up to a distance of 6 miles from the pit at a unit price of 9Lt per cubic vard Dius an additiional charge of 81 per cubic Yara per mile or fraction of a mile beyond the six mile limit. Albert Bothwell , Building inspector addressed the Council regarding the building situation, He stated that a man should be on this work at least three days a week, On motion of T.B.Rickard and 7.75.7ice the Council agree to pay Albert 3othwall A50,00 oer weth for one month and to report to Council. W.R.Pickell addressed the Council re Seeds, On motion of G.T.Rickard and E.W.Vice this Council spend 11500.00 on sidewalks. SA.White Wed the Council to level some ground in the Bethesda Cemetery and also asked for some gravel. The bills were read and ordered to be ppid. Roafl, Supt® presented his report and vouchers for lay, which were accepted and vouchers ordered to be paid.
