HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-10-02 October 2m 1952. Darlington Council met this day w1th Reeve Wichols presiding. The minutes of last meeting were read and on motion adopted as read. On motion of E.F.G.Vice and G.B.Rickard the Clerk write Fred Nelson- (Blyth Co. and ask for definite time that he will be here to crush gravel. Communications were read and ordered to be filed. On motion of H. Skinner and R. ASLaughlin this Council have a new guide board erected 141 Miles South of Enniskillen on Scugog Road. No. R. Hodgson addressed the Council re-fence between Park and his propurty. On motion of E.F.G.Vice and G.3,Rickard the Coumcil erect the fence on the South side of Hodgson Property. W.R.Pickell, Weed Inspector addressed the Council re-weeds and wanted to know about further cutting of weeds. MY. S.E.White introduced Mr. A. hAsson who addressed Council re- Liability Insurance. &J On motion of R. Waughlin and H. Skinner this Council armee to insure - for Liability Insurance with General Accident handled by S.E.White at a premiluaZ of $ 451M. Road Supt. presented his report for Sept. and Vouchers which were on motion accepted and vouchers ordered to be paid. On motion of G.B.Rickard and E.F.a.Vice, Clerk write M.J.Hobbs Sec- Treas. S.D.T.A.School Board and ask if it would not be possible to have an open afternoon or evening to allow the ratepayers to see through the new schools. On motion the general accounts were passed for payment. mercy Dewell gave the Council a vivid description of the way the Mountain Sanitarium was conducted. The conditions at this Health Tnetitution mxxa are deplorable and W. Denell said that there were several other patients who would back what he said. a stated that he had seen more arunks at that Institution than he had seem for a lonM time. On motion of �5® Skinner and E.F.G.Vice Clerk write to Dr. Charles and ask for an exylanation for the conduct of some of the patients in Mountain San. at Hamilton also EQ. Phillips, Minister of Health and Premier Frost and state that Np. Dewell has given a very jeplcrayle arepart on the conditions at Hamilton San. Meeting aalJourned to meet November 6th., 1952.
