Darlington Council Met this day to settle and decide any complaints against the
Assessment Roll for 1942,with all members present except S.E.White who was unavoidably
absent.
After taking their Oath of Office the following appeals were heard,-
1 Arthur annis Estate claiming they were assessed too high for the present sale
values of land.On motion of R.R.Stevens and R.X,Squair the assessment was confirmed,
2 C.T.Mlbur claiming too high an assessment because the farm was not being worked
and the buildings were getting out of repair, On motion of L.C.Pascoe and R.R.Steven
The assessment was confirmed.
3. Harold Hocken claiming that the farm owned by the Henry Hocken Estate was assessed t
too high. On motion of R.R.Stevens and L.C.Pascoe the assessment was confirmed
These being all the appeals , the Council on motion reverted to regular buisnesso-'
Mr,King of Beaton addressed the council re, auditing and made application for the
job of auditing the Township books,
On motion of R.K.Squair and R.R.Stevens the councilagreed to consider his
application for Auditor.
On motion of R.Y,,Sqfaair and L.C.?ascoe the council decided not to hire the Tractor
for work to outside parties as they have no one to operate it at the present time,'
On motion the council adjourned to meet Saturday Dec,6th at one o1clock.
