Darlington Council met this day with the members all present except Deputy-Reeve
L.C.Pascoe. The minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted.
On motion of R.R.Stevens and S.E.White, the Auditors 3y-law be changed to read
$125.00 instead of "not to exceed $150.00".
On motion of R.R.Stevens and R.K.Squair the Council pay $1,10 and hour for farm
tractor grading roads on smaller grader.
Delegation from Providence Farm Forum visited the Council re roads and closing
of part of road between Lots 6 and 7, Con. 2, through the Internment Camp.
On motion of R.R. Stevens and S.E. to a committee headed by the Reeve and
R.K.Squair with representatives from Providence distric6 wait upon 1,71.F.Rickard
M.P, regarding this road.
Comninications were read and dealt with according to th--ir requirements.
The bills were read and on motion were ordered- to be paid.
T.H.Richards presented his report and vouchers for March which were on motion
acce-oted and vouchers ordered to be paid.
On motion of S.E. V�hite and R.K.Squair the Council rent the Fresno Scraper to
Board of Education of 3ovrmanville at 250 per hour.
On motion of R.R.Stevens and S.E.White the -,)rice -oaidfor tractor o-oeration
not exceed 500 per hour.
On motion of R.K.Scuair and S.E.White the Reeve see Thos. Thornton regarding
his engagement.
Council adjourned to meet May 2nd.
