Darlington Council met this day with Reeve Pickell presiding. Deputy Reeve Stevens
and S. Everton White were present, A. Millson being absent on account of bad roads,
and. R.K. Scuair through sickness.
The minutes of the last meeting were read, and on motion were adopted as read.
On notion of S.E. ',,Iihite and R.R. Stevens this council forward the sum of 15.00 to
the Secretary of the Ontario Association of Rural Municipalities.
On action of S.F. White and R.R. Stevens, the comnunications of the Ontario
Municipal Association and. the Ontario Good Roads Association be received and filed.
Communication was read from Sick Childrens Hospital asking for grant. On motion
of R.R. Stevens and W.R. Pickell this council grant them $25100,
Cammmication from Department of Agriculture was read. On motion of W.R. Pickell
and S.E. White, R.R. Stevens be appointed Director.
Communication from Salvation Army was laid over for another month.
On motion of S.E. White and R.R. Stevens the Clerk advertise for crushing gravel.
Elrold Mills expressed the opinion that he would buy a Stone Crusher. Mo. Ji-
Holt addressed the council regarding snow fence.
On motion of R.R. Stevens and S.E. White this council order through J. Holt 3000
(three thousand) feet of snow fence and enough posts to erect it.
On motion of S.F. White and R.R. Stevens this council order 3000 (three thousand)
feet of snow fence and 150 Posts from W.R. Groskurth.
T.H. Richzxas presented his report and Vouchers for Kno.ary, which were on motion
accepted and vouchers ordered to be paid.
On motion the council adjourned to meet March 6th.
