Darlington Council held a special meeting this evening 77ith all members
present with the exception of S.E. 17hite.
A by-law --;:or estimated expenditure on roads was introduced, and given its
several readings, and ordered to be signed, sealed and numbered. Estimated
expenditL,xe was set at $15,000.00.
On motion of R.K. Squair and. W.R. Pickell, the Road Superintendent was
engaged for 19'43, and_ to be paid at the rate of 450 per hour.
On motion of R.R. Stevens and R.K. Samir, the Road Sim
.Lerintendent contact
any man capable of operating tractor and maintainer.
On motion of R.R. Stevens and R.K. Squair, the -purchasing of road timber
be held over for the next regular meeting.
The gravel tenders were opened and read.; as follows;
Henry Holman tender 900 yd.delivered anywhere in Twp.
John Maclaren tender 75� yd.to 5 mile limit
080 per mile over limit
Mills tender 70(,A yd. to 4 mile limit
100 yd.P-,ctra each mile over 4.
On mCbtion of R.R. Stevens and JL-tIlTar Millson, the Council accept
H.C. ,i. I�Iillls tender as read.
On motion the meeting adjourned.
