Darlington Council met this day with the members all present, Reeve Pickell prescft jj,;:
The minutes of the last meeting were read and on motion adopted.
On motion of R.R.Stevens and R.K.Squair the Clerk get in touch with each school
secretary and ask them to name two children from their school sectiapa . and thatthe
Reeve make the drw to decide ,who will go to the Exhibition.
W.R.Grosskarth addressed the Council re drain-pipe for roads. The Council ordered
350 feet of pipe for drainage purposes.
The bills were read and on motion were ordered to be paid.
Communication-cation.was read. from H.J.Brooks presenting a damage clai k caused by a bump on
Flintoff bridge. The Clerk was -instructed to hand this claim to the insurance company®
A 'cation was read re: spraying weeds on roads as an experiment. On motion of
R.R.Stevens and R.K.Squair the Council decided to try it out®
T.H.Richards presented his report and vouchers for June which were on motion accepted
and vouchers ordered to be paid..
On motion of R.R.Stevens and. R.K.Squair the Road Superintendent was instructed to have
the maintainer lettered. ,
On motion the Council adjourned to meet east 2nd at one ofolock.
