Subject: TO LAY OUT AND ESTABLISH PART OF LOTS 23, 24, 31 AND 32,
BLOCK A, C.G. HANNINGS PLAN OF PART OF LOT 8, CONCESSION 1
(FORMERLY THE TOWN OF BOWMANVlLLE) DESIGNATED AS
PARTS 17 AND 18 ON PLAN 40R-19553 AS A PUBLIC HIGHWAY
UNDER THE MUNICIPAL ACT
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-50-00 be received; and
2. THAT Council approve the by-law attached to this report to layout and establish Part of
Lots 23, 24, 31 and 32, Block A, C.G. Hannings Plan of Part of Lot 8, Concession 1
(formerly the Town ofBowmanville), now in the Municipality ofClarington, Regional
Municipality of Durham, referred to as Parts 17 and 18 on Plan 40R-19553 and forming
part of McFeeters Crescent.

2.0 BACKGROUND
2.1 The Municipality of Clarington entered into a Servicing Agreement with Veltri and Son
Limited on July 20, 2000, respecting lands in Bowmanville to which Land Divisions
LD227/99 to LD231/99 inclusive, apply (Attachment No.1).

2.2 The Servicing Agreement requires Veltri and Son Limited to transfer to the Municipality,
the lands comprising the roadway known as McFeeters Crescent, referred to as Parts 17
and 18 on Plan 40R-19553, to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works.
2.3 The Servicing Agreement further requires that Veltri and Son Limited improve the
roadway to an urban standard, to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works.
2.4 The lands have now been transferred and the roadway has been initially improved to the
satisfaction of the Director of Public Works. Final stage roadworks, such as sidewalks
and boulevards, will be completed by the developer at a later stage. The works will be
issued a Completion Certificate and will be maintained by the developer until acceptance
by the Municipality.
3.0 CONCLUSION
3.1 It is now appropriate for Council to pass the attached by-law, laying out and establishing
as a public highway, Parts 17 and 18 on Plan 4OR-19553 (Attachment No.2).

THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW 2000-
Being a by-law to layout and establish certain lands and premises
within the Municipality of Clarington as public highway.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington hereby
enacts as follows:
THAT the lands and premises set out below are hereby laid out and established as public
highways forming part of McFeeters Crescent:
Part of Lots 23, 24, 31 and 32, Block A. C.G. Hannings Plan of Part of Lot 8, Concession
I (formerly the Town of Bowmanville), now in the Municipality of Clarington, Regional
Municipality of Durham, shown as Parts 17 and 18 on Plan 40R-19553
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 18lli day of December 2000.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 18'h day of December 2000.
