Darlington Township Council met in special session in the Township
Hall this evening, all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding.
A By-law to authorize I80000 Road expenditure for 1957 was given
its several readings and ordered signed, sealed and numbered 2071.

3rd Reading Councillors Thompson & Smith.
A By-law to set a Supplementery estimate of 00000 -, for Roads was
given its several readings and ordered sealed, signed and numbered 2072.

A By-lava to set the rates of taxation for 1957 and to impose a
2 % penalty for non-payment on same was given its several readings and ordered
signed, sealed and numbered 2073.

Moved by Councillors Smith and Thompson that contract for Hot Mix
Asphalt (H,L.4) be awarded to Greenwood Construction Co. as per Tender.
Moved by Dep. Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that this Council
approve an expenditure of $1500.00 on Darlington-Clarke Boundary Road through
the first, second and third Concessions of Darlington Township, subject to the
approval of the Road Supt. of Darlington Township.
